Dzen Nako Cultural Troupe

Dzen Nako develops unique sounds, African rhythmic beats with many kinds of drums which are made from wood, animal skin and hard rope. Drums are manufactured in Ghana, a country known as a tourist destination for arts and crafts in West Africa.

The name ‘Dzen Nako’

‘Dzen Nako’ is a Ga word translated in English as “the day is still not over” which brings inspiration to the group to imply more time for everybody to brighten in their lifetime with the sound of drums to keep everybody awake and active. The troupe is made up 25 members including management and performers.

DZEŊ NAKO MUSIC

Dzen Nako troupe is an Afro-fusion music group whose creativity in composing of various Ga-Dangbe traditional songs has awarded them with outstanding traditional awards in composing and excellent work (great songs). The group has composed over 22 songs with two albums currently with the hit song “Auntie mama”.
